EarthRider and BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County are teaming up to take you out of urbania and introduce you to some of the terrific adventure riding our area has to offer, in a ride series structured to help you meet other riders, become more familiar with local riding options, improve your off-pavement riding ability, & generally load you up with crazy epic-ride stories that no one will ever believe.
A beemer is not a requirement – but you do need a street legal bike on which you are willing to log freeway miles at freeway speeds, and take off the pavement.
Eight months, eight rides. Each one will take us into the beautiful California backcountry; deserts, mountains, & prairies. The first ride will be an easy introduction to dual sport riding, and the last ride will include considerable intermediate level terrain. Although designed with the novice rider in mind, the early rides always offer opportunities for more experienced riders to flex their muscles if desired. Likewise, more challenging rides late in the series often include go-arounds, allowing all riders the opportunity to ride at a level they prefer.
even more to offer: The continual slight increase in riding challenge over the course of the series provides you the opportunity to gradually increase your riding ability in a non-instructional, learn-by-doing setting. What would a ride series be without the opportunity to eat, drink, be merry, look at photos of our riding exploits, tell highly embellished stories of the season's less believable occurrences, & win cool stuff!? Last time around we gave away a GoPro. The list of prizes - including discounts to EarthRider classes - is still growing. The evening will be held at the shop, after the last ride of the series; date TBD, likely early September.
